Spider Ranch Productions is the pinnacle of excellence in high-performance audio. We revolutionize the live sound and audio/visual realm with our commitment to customer service and integrity, all while nurturing long-term client relationships.

We’re professionals, and that’s important. Our chief engineers have over 200 years of combined experience in the audio/visual industry, which means we know what you’ll need. Don’t go to a retail store for your professional audio-visual equipment. Come to a pro! We have knowledge of sound that retail stores only dream of.

Not every event requires a mammoth amount of equipment and volume. We get that. We’ll make sure you get the right tools and personnel for your event–for your peace of mind. It doesn’t matter if you’re hiring us for a corporate function, touring production, or even an elementary school festival: we’ll treat you like the superstars you are.

Project manager

Mark J. Sweet

Mark has 42+ years experience in Systems Design, Engineering, Installation and Project Management of Audio/Video/Lighting/Acoustic systems integration, Audio/Video trade specific Construction Project Management and Oversight, and Live Production industries- as they all converge on his work experience. He has been Sr. Manager of Integrated Systems at Spider Ranch Productions for the last 11+ years.

His expertise has evolved over the years from churches and state-of-the-art live performance venues to complex corporate multi-use systems, experimental Technology development projects and broadcast systems.

Mark is very hands on, working with the client and owner to develop a proper technical solution for their needs. He fosters the Design/Build philosophy of a one phone call/sole source relationship with his clients. Mark is typically responsible for the sale, engineering and design/build process, including controlling budgets to ensure jobs remain on schedule and within budget. A team player, Mark holds an excellent track record of strong working relationships with owners, architects, engineers and General Contractors as well as his own team at Spider Ranch, leveraging the installers, riggers, electronic systems technicians, custom software development engineers as well as trainers and support staff – resulting in successful project experiences building high performance systems.

Marks experiences vary widely in the field of commercial/professional audio, video, lighting control and supporting systems. System design/build sales, complete systems and project management (on-site and remote), Engineering, rigging, mechanical design, electrical design
specification, General construction design, overall trade management and coordination, Acoustics, control systems for audio, video, presentation and live performance systems, theatrical/house lighting control and dimming systems, CAD drafting of all systems for construction.

Projects have ranged widely including Conference, Presentation and National Executive Briefing Centers, Live HD Broadcast Video, HD Video computer networked and editing systems, Business presentation and training A/V, Education and Auditorium facilities, Dance Music Clubs and Recording Studio’s, Churches, Large scale multi-zone home entertainment, Large live productions for 20,000+ people with broadcast feeds, remote trucks and large bands, festivals etc.

Previously, Mark has worked for and partnered Spider Ranch Productions with Media Vision Integration (MVI), Thresher Communications, Advanced Systems Group, David Carroll Associates, Electronic Acoustic Research and American Audio Systems- all companies based in the SF Bay area of California.

Mark’s formal education consists of DeVry Institute of Technology, specializing as an Electronics Technician, City of Industry, California – Graduated with an Associate of Arts 1985 – 1987. Following DeVry, he attended Los Medanos College, working in the Recording Arts department,
Pittsburg, California 1987 – 1989.

Mark uses his knowledge and experience to instruct others, typically on the job in context of the project they are working on and leverages cross training and cross platform experience to encourage the growth of others in education and general knowledge within the industry.

Mark and his wife raise their 6 children in Ocala, Florida.
